Cezary Mazurek Prelegent
Cezary Mazurek

Computer scientist, doctor of technical sciences, specializing in the development of information and communication technologies and their innovative applications in science, economy and society.

He has been associated since its inception with the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan. Since 2019, he has been directing the activities of this Center in the capacity of Plenipotentiary Director of ICHB PAN for PSNC. For more than 30 years, he has been professionally involved in the construction of the information infrastructure of science and the development of technologies and services implemented within this infrastructure and supporting digital transformation. He has conducted R&D work in many national and international research projects. In 2016, he initiated the construction of the HPC4Poland Digital Innovation Node with a focus on the implementation of HPC and HPCC-based services in leading industries, including automotive, agri-food and medical. Among other things, he has led implementations of the Municipal Multimedia Directory of Poznań, the dLibra digital library system and the NABÓR school recruitment system. He combines development work with scientific interests in the area of modern methods of data collection and analysis in the digital twin model.

He has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications in national and international publications and conference proceedings. Since 2020, he has served as President of the Wielkopolska ICT Cluster.
