Lech Żak is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Poznań University of Technology (specialization: Networks Power Systems). He also completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw, the Poznań University of Economics and the Wielkopolska School of Business. He participated in research workshops in Silicon Valley, USA, at Stanford University, and in Management of Projects, Washington University, USA.
He has worked his way through all levels of professional experience, from engineering to managerial assignments, covering the entire business area of energy – from distribution to generation.
He received a diploma from the Minister of Industry confirming that he passed the exam for candidates for members of the supervisory boards of state-owned companies. He has served on many supervisory boards of companies in the energy industry energy sector. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Accreditation Center.
He has all the professional licenses necessary in the industry, and is the author of innovative solutions in the organization and financing of projects and utility models in the field of energy.
He also translates his professional skills into social work in foundations and associations industry, including in the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers, as President of the Piła Branch and chairman of the legislative affairs committee of the SEP General Assembly; he is a member of the Polish Society for Transmission and Distribution of Electricity and the Economic Society of Power Plants.
