Łukasz Schreiber

Born on May 26, 1987 in Bydgoszcz – Polish politician and local government official, Member of Parliament of the 8th and 9th terms, as of 2019. Minister – Member of the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, Secretary of the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the Team for Programming the Work of the Government, authorized by the Prime Minister to act as Secretary for Parliamentary Affairs.

In 2009, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In 2013, he earned a Master of Administration degree from Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz.

In 2014, he won a seat as a city councilor in Bydgoszcz, winning the most votes of all candidates.

In 2015, on behalf of Law and Justice, he ran for election to the Sejm and won a parliamentary seat. In the eighth-term Sejm, he notably served as vice-chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, and was also a member of the Committee on Public Finance and chairman of the standing subcommittee on monitoring the tax system. He was also a member of the Committee on Constitutional Responsibility and the Extraordinary Committee for Consideration of Draft Laws on Electoral Law.

As of November 2018, he held the position of Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office. He was also Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers.

Polish junior chess champion, Polish representative at the World and European Championships. Author of the books “Sulla 138 – 78 BC”. devoted to one of the most outstanding leaders of the Roman Republic – Lucius Cornelius Sulla, and “Manipulated, or how good people let themselves be seduced by intelligent propaganda”.
