The PKG Awards recognize individuals and entities that demonstrate exceptional activity in their respective fields. This accolade acknowledges dedication, effort, and effectiveness as essential components for achieving success in one’s area of operation. PKG Awards are presented to those whose activities are based on the Poznań work ethic, in accordance with the mission of the Poznań Institute. Awards are granted in 4 categories:
I. Social Activity
This category pertains to activity and service for the benefit of others. It encompasses charitable, youth, educational, or local government initiatives. The most important distinguishing feature of PKG Award laureates in this category is their commitment to the cause and the energy they invest in serving their fellow human beings, as well as the tangible results of their work and how it positively impacts others.
II. Innovation
Awarded for innovative industrial, technological, conceptual, or organizational solutions. Regardless of the business sector the innovation pertains to, the award is given to organizations that introduce new solutions leading to significant improvements or cost optimization. This award is for those who boldly and dynamically implement innovations in their daily operations.
III. Ambassador of Poznań
This award is for those who daily promote the name of Poznań beyond its borders, enhancing its reputation and image. An Ambassador of Poznań is a person who, through their Poznań work and action ethic, affirms the positive image enjoyed by Poznań residents. Furthermore, they not only strive to spread Poznań’s renown abroad but also remember to maintain, nurture, and solidify their Poznań roots. In short – a true Poznań ambassador through and through.
IV. Friend of Poznań
This award recognizes an individual who, though not a resident of Poznań, holds a special connection to the city, enriching and influencing its life in many dimensions. It’s for those not born here, but who demonstrably carry Poznań and its ideals deeply in their hearts.
