Presidents of Poland and Slovakia to attend PEC 2026! Karol Nawrocki and Peter Pellegrini to take part in Three Seas Digital Forum
President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki and President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini will attend Three Seas Digital Forum in Poznań on 12 November. The international summit, dedicated to the digital future of Central and Eastern Europe, will open the fifth edition of the Poznań Economic Congress (PEC 2026). Admission to the event is free.
How can Central and Eastern European countries work together to strengthen their position in the global technology race? How can they build digital sovereignty, foster innovation and respond more effectively to the challenges posed by rapid digitalisation?
These are among the key issues to be discussed at Three Seas Digital Forum, taking place on 12 November at the Poznań International Fair (MTP). The Presidents of Poland and Slovakia, Karol Nawrocki and Peter Pellegrini, will participate in discussions on digital cooperation among countries in the region.
The Digital Future of the Three Seas Region on the Presidents’ Agenda
The participation of both heads of state highlights the growing importance of international cooperation in technology, security and economic competitiveness.
“The presence of two presidents at Three Seas Digital Forum in Poznań demonstrates that digital cooperation among countries in our region is becoming increasingly strategic,” says Jan Zujewicz, organiser of the Poznań Economic Congress. “This is no longer an issue solely for experts and the technology industry. It concerns security, the competitiveness of our economies and the future of the entire region. The Three Seas countries have the potential to shape Europe’s digital development together – and that is precisely what we will discuss in Poznań.”
Three Seas Digital Forum will provide an opportunity to explore how Central and Eastern European countries can harness their potential to build a stronger and more competitive digital economy.
Key topics will include emerging technologies, digital security, investment and regional cooperation.
Cooperation That Matters for the Economy and Security
Digitalisation is transforming the way businesses, public administrations and societies operate. At the same time, advances in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure present countries with new challenges related to security and maintaining economic competitiveness.
“Advancing digitalisation is changing the way economies, public administrations and societies function. The development of new technologies raises important questions for countries in the region about digital security, innovation and their ability to compete in European and global markets,” emphasises Michał Kanownik, President of the Management Board of the Digital Poland Association (Związek Cyfrowa Polska), co-organiser of the event.
Three Seas Digital Forum is jointly organised by the Poznań Institute (Instytut Poznański) and the Digital Poland Association (Związek Cyfrowa Polska). The event is held under the Honorary Patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland.
