Member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm)
Born in Warsaw. Studied at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. Earned a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Professor with a doctoral habilitation in the humanities (2008). Anti-communist opposition activist, lecturer, and politician. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and National Heritage from 2015 to 2023. Member of the Polish Parliament for the 8th, 9th, and 10th terms.
